Hummingbird, sing to me

25 April 2014

Last Sunday I went to a flea market, one of my favorite things to do in the weekend now that the season is here. And I found this girly outfit ideal to wander through the streets looking for vintage jewelry, decoration and vinyl records.

What are your fave spring activities?
Love, always!

Lately: flowers & cotton candy

22 April 2014

The carnival is in town because of Easter and I couldn't resist getting something from this pretty pink candy stall. Also, I just can't stop taking pictures of flowers this spring. I wish everything could stay in bloom forever.

Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend!
Have a fantastic day!

Smock it up

15 April 2014

Purple things don't usually appeal to me, but when I saw the print on this boohoo.com smock dress I was sold immediately. Paired it with some boots and my good old denim jacket and was off for a day of fun!

Happy Tuesday

Caramel-hazelnut frappuccino

11 April 2014

With the sunny weather outside, the time has finally come for frappés and iced coffees. I always like to sweeten up my coffee drinks with some caramel or hazelnut flavor and today I tried something new: a frappuccino with hazelnut milk and caramel ice cream. It's so yummy and the recipe is really simple!

You'll need:

✔ 1 tbsp sugar
✔ 10 ice cubes
✔ 1 cup coffee (cooled)
✔ 1 cup hazelnut milk
✔ 1 scoop caramel ice cream
✔ whipped cream
✔ caramel sauce

✔ a blender
✔ a tall drinking glass

All you have to do is mix the coffee, milk, sugar, ice cubes and ice cream in a blender. Pour it in a tall glass and finish with some whipped cream and caramel sauce on top. Drink up!

Do you prefer your coffee hot or cold? Let me know what you think if you try this out!
Have an amazing weekend!

DIY: floral tissue box

04 April 2014

Imagine: You're watching a movie and this really sad scene comes up and you just can't help but bawl your eyes out. You look around... Damn it! No tissues in the room. It may sound silly but this happens to me all the time (what can I say, I'm an emotional gal). I keep telling myself to get a box of tissues but I always forget. So when I found this wooden box I decided to create my own unique piece that I can once and for all make a part of my interior. And of course that had to involve flowers.

Here's what I used:

5 simple steps:

1. First mix some paint with a tiny bit of water (a few drops will do).
2. Start with the top and then paint the sides. To make the painting easier, I put my box onto some old dictionaries.
3. Let dry, apply a second coat and let dry again. I let it rest for about 4 hours.
4. Once the box is painted you can choose where you want to place the flowers. For each flower, mark with a little dot.
5. Now you can easily attach the flowers to the box with a bit of superglue.

Done!

Hope you enjoyed this!
Have a lovely day!
