Babes with bangs

04 December 2013

Sorry, no new outfit post since I still don't have my camera back. But I recently cut myself a new pair of bangs and, although watching too many episodes of New Girl and worshiping Zooey D's hair was probably my strongest motive, I thought I'd make a post on the inspiring ladies who were already rocking their fringes back in the sixties. If you think having a fringe will make you look geeky, these icons definitely prove you wrong. Of course Jane Birkin & Françoise Hardy were total babes but I also adore the Boyd sisters and muses to the Rolling Stones, Marianne Faithfull and Anita Pallenberg.
Personally, I love to cut a little into my bangs so that they don't look too blunt, because that doesn't at all look flattering on me. I like to keep them playful and wear them split from time to time.

Are you a fringe fan?
Hope you have a lovely day!

Modcloth fall wishlist

13 October 2013

I think it was in 2010 that I first discovered Modcloth and immediately fell for their girly dresses and original prints. If you've visited Modcloth, you know you can create a 'Loved Items'-list and mine grows bigger every day. I thought I'd put together my fave pieces for this fall, and here it is! Fall for me means a dress with a fun print (preferably with a little collar), textured tights, a cozy cardigan and ankle boots or oxfords that can handle the rainiest days. What's your favorite fall item?

Enjoy your Sunday!

Inspiration: fall fever

11 October 2013

I am absolutely thrilled about the arrival of fall. With the leaves changing color and the pumpkins popping up at people's front doors it's the most charming season of all and definitely my favorite. Lately I've been wasting my time browsing through fall recipes and photos and I thought I'd share some! For more inspiration you can visit my Pinterest page.

Have an amazing weekend!

Greetings from Greece: Ethnic Summer

01 October 2013

This is my favorite outfit from my trip to Zakynthos. The maxi dress is so comfortable and fun to wear. And I just love the summery color scheme and the ethnic print.

I got some bad news about my camera today. It can't be repaired due to water damage (woops). Luckily it's insured so I will get a new one, I just hope that it'll be soon. Fall is slowly beginning to settle in here in Belgium and I can't wait to go for a walk in the woods and take pictures of the first leaves changing color.

 Happy October!

Greetings from Greece: Polka dots

22 September 2013

I wore this outfit on my third day in Zakynthos. When I saw this maxi skirt in deep summer red, I immediately fell in love with it. The fabric is so light and flowy, absolutely perfect for high temperatures. I combined it with a playful polka dot top and my favorite straw hat.

Have a lovely Sunday!

Greetings from Greece: Zakynthos

17 September 2013

I came back from my holiday in Zakynthos yesterday and I'm already missing the lovely island. The blue Ionian Sea, the mountains, the olive trees, the frappé coffees and simply the feeling of being far away from home made it an amazing experience. I'm really happy to have seen Navagio Beach, which is considered one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. Silly enough I broke my camera while stepping out of the boat onto the beach and now I have to miss it for 3 weeks while it's being repaired. Till then I have some outfit posts to share with you, so stay posted.
Have a great day! ♡

1. The Vathia Nera Mountains near Vromi Beach
2. Beautiful flowers in Zante Town
3. Handling the map during our road trip
4. Grapes and other fruits grow all around the island
5. Relaxing by the swimming pool
6. View over the village of Agia Marina
7. Sitting on the rooftops just outside our hotel
8. Shipwreck or Navagio Beach

Lately: Pancakes & pastels

06 September 2013

My very first blog post! What better to start with than two things I can never get enough of: pancakes and pastels. Today I went brunching with some friends and couldn't resist creating a little love pancake! If you have a sweet tooth and are ever in Belgium, you should definitely visit Julie's House in Ghent. They have the best homemade pies and cupcakes. I also did a little organizing on my clothing rack and whatever the season, pastels are always my weakness. Monday I'm leaving for Zakynthos, Greece for a week, so exciting! I'll definitely share some bits of my trip when I get back.

Hope you have a lovely weekend!
