Last week I added a new brunch spot to my list of favorites. Soep&Zoet (translates to Soup&Sweets) started serving up their dreamy-looking plates of goodness in 2014 in a cozy two-story building on the main shopping street of Sint-Niklaas. I discovered it thanks to my aunt, who lives there and highly recommended the place. If you're interested in exploring Belgium's lesser-known cities, Sint-Niklaas is just a 30 minute train ride away from Antwerp which, if you're a brunch lover like me, is totally worth it!
The all-day brunch menu at Soep&Zoet varies from oatmeal and yogurt bowls to pancakes, banana bread with coconut cream or - my mom's favorite - a bacon, egg and avocado waffle. Having a hard time picking just one of these delicacies? Thanks to the sharing is caring-formula, two people can taste three dishes for €25. The big winner for me was the French toast with poached pears and lime mascarpone. If I could have that on my plate every day, I'd be one hella happy girl.
